Accounts Receivable/Collections Specialist
RestoreCore, a full-service disaster restoration company, is seeking a detail-oriented and relationship-driven Accounts Receivable / Collections Specialist to join our accounting team. This role is essential to maintaining strong cash flow, supporting operational teams, and building professional relationships with our customers.
This position will manage a portfolio of customer accounts and take ownership of accounts receivable, credit, and collection processes while partnering closely with project managers and internal accounting staff.
Salary is based on experience.
What You’ll Do
- Process daily accounts receivable transactions accurately and efficiently
- Prepare, review, and issue customer invoices
- Create credit memos when needed and maintain all supporting documentation
- Manage collection efforts, including follow-up and negotiation of past-due accounts
- Maintain and update customer accounts in QuickBooks
- Create and organize customer account files and records
- Review receipt entries for accuracy and completeness
- Research discrepancies, process adjustments, and resolve billing issues
- Support month-end accounts receivable closing activities
- Organize and lead weekly AR meetings with project managers and accounting team members
- Monitor and maintain customer electronic billing portals
- Prepare and complete weekly AR reporting for leadership review
What We’re Looking For
- Two or more years of accounts receivable experience
- Two or more years of collections experience
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive financial information professionally
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience working in QuickBooks
- Ability to successfully complete required background and drug screenings
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience with DASH is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to research issues, resolve discrepancies, and follow through
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
- Strong internal and external customer service skills

Work Environment
- Hybrid position with a mix of in-office and remote work after training is complete
- Initial training period will be fully on-site to support learning, collaboration, and onboarding
- Regular interaction with accounting staff, project managers, and leadership team
